The Path and the Seed

It has taken me a lot of time and a tragicomic show of processes to honor my path and be gentle with my own creations. I’ve probably been my most severe critic and though I appreciate the ambition of always wanting to improve my productions, I’m ready to let go of that unscrupulous voice that judges and definitely pass the microphone to the voice of Love within.

There are many stories that want to be born through me, a lot that I want to tell, explore, write, and produce. First, I needed to acknowledge what I’ve achieved so far as an independent filmmaker in an archipelago in the Caribbean and to make it accessible, trusting that each film will find her public.

In my personal path, I feel like I’m entering a second adolescence. My biological sons have grown up and I have more energy, time and space available for my creative births. I long to return to fiction without abandoning the great school that is for me to make documentary films. I desire to play with hybrid narratives, allowing each story to guide its path. I also want to honor the films that we’ve already made and promote a tool that I love: Film Forums.

Join us to make out of films something more than just entertainment, an aspect that we love and enjoy but also invites us to go beyond, deeper. Let’s make films an opportunity to share, reflect, exchange perspectives and wisdom, even find solutions to the situations that we see in the small and big screen. Accompany us to plant this seed that is Aurora Docs from where comedies, shows, and new ways of connecting with documentaries want to be born. Join us in this expansive journey of audiovisual storytelling that seeks to honor our most genuine and authentic voice rooted in our hearts. Welcome!
